10 Signs You Need a Reset (And You Don’t Even Know It Yet)
By Curtis Pelletier, Mental Performance Coach
You’ve read the books.
Listened to the podcasts.
Tried the morning routines.
Bought the planner. Did the journaling. Tried that one breathwork app.
You even followed a few “high performance” guys on Instagram.
For a while, it felt like you were doing something.
But deep down, not much has changed.
You’re still restless.
Still pissed off.
Still empty.
That’s because information doesn’t change people transformation does.
And transformation only happens when you stop looking the part…
and start doing the actual fucking work.
You don’t need another motivational quote.
You need a reset.
Let’s get real.
1. You Snap Easily
Irritable. Short fuse. Ready to blow at a moment’s notice.
That’s not "just stress."
That’s an overstimulated amygdala and a nervous system in constant fight-or-flight.
You’re not calm. You’re just suppressing rage.
2. You Wake Up Tired
Not physically. Existentially.
You get 7 hours but still feel drained.
Like life is just too much.
This is burnout. Cognitive fatigue. Emotional depletion.
Your prefrontal cortex is fried. No gas left in the tank.
3. You Can’t Focus
You used to be sharp. Now you reread the same sentence five times.
You're overstimulated. Distracted. Hijacked by dopamine.
That’s not “bad discipline.”
It’s behavioral conditioning.
Too much novelty. Not enough rest. No system to anchor your mind.
4. You Numb Out Constantly
Booze. Weed. Socials. Sex.
Scrolling like it’s your job.
Eating when you’re not hungry.
That’s your limbic brain looking for relief.
Not pleasure. Not reward. Just escape.
And it works until it doesn’t.
5. You Blame
It’s your ex. Your past. Your boss.
Always someone else.
That victim loop feels safe. It avoids shame.
But blame keeps you frozen.
Neuroscience says it reinforces powerlessness.
Ownership rewires everything.
6. You’re Chronically Disorganized
Your house. Your car. Your thoughts.
Messy AF.
That’s not laziness.
It’s executive dysfunction.
Prefrontal cortex overload decision fatigue in action.
Clean space, clean nervous system. It’s real.
7. You Say “I’ll Get My Shit Together” But Never Do
Intent without action = self-betrayal.
Every time you break a promise to yourself, your brain logs it.
Confidence drops. Doubt grows.
Eventually, you stop trusting your own voice.
8. You’re Addicted to Busy
You can’t sit still.
Silence is terrifying.
Why?
Because in silence, you’re forced to face what’s really there.
The unresolved pain. The fear. The lies.
So you keep moving. Loud, fast, full.
Busy = avoidance with a calendar.
9. You Think You’re Strong — But You’re Spiritually Empty
You lift weights. You grind. You take cold plunges.
Your mind is “tough.”
Cool.
But your soul is dehydrated.
You don’t feel connected to anything deeper than your goals.
You’re all muscle, no meaning.
That’s not strength. That’s survival.
Real strength is alignment.
Mind. Body. Spirit.
Without all three, you’re just a machine breaking down slowly.
10. You Feel Lost — But Won’t Admit It
You keep going. Keep pushing.
But deep down, you’re lost.
You’ve drifted so far from your values that you don’t even recognize yourself.
This is identity erosion.
And it happens when performance outruns purpose.
Final Thought:
If you see yourself in 3 or more of these, stop brushing it off.
If you see all 10?
You already know.
It’s time.
My process is built on neuroscience, behavior change, and spiritual realignment.
No fluff. No quick fixes. Just deep, dirty, honest work.
You don’t need another podcast.
You need a reset.
Let’s do this the right way.
DM me. Or don’t.
But stop pretending “fine” is good enough.
