SUMMER PROGRAM
program Overview:
The Mental Performance Mastery Level 1 Course, led by Coach Curtis, is designed to equip athletes with essential mental skills that will benefit them both on and off the field. This intensive two-month program is delivered via Zoom and includes personalized one-on-one sessions, group discussions, and a supportive community for continuous engagement and growth via Slack. This is real college prep.
Key Components:
Confidence in Failure:
Learn how to view failure as a stepping stone to success.
Develop resilience and the ability to bounce back stronger after setbacks.
Accountability:
Understand the importance of taking responsibility for actions.
Foster a sense of ownership over personal growth and development.
Creation of a Successful Process On and Off the Field:
Build effective routines and habits that lead to consistent performance.
Apply these processes to both athletic and everyday life scenarios.
Time Management:
Master the art of prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
Balance academics, sports, and personal life effectively.
Realistic Goal Setting (Microscope/Telescope):
Set short-term (microscope) and long-term (telescope) goals.
Learn to break down larger objectives into manageable steps.
Culture (Your Surroundings):
Recognize the impact of environment and peers on performance.
Create a positive and supportive personal culture.
Leadership (Of Self):
Develop self-leadership skills and the ability to motivate oneself.
Learn to lead by example and inspire others.
Work Out Program:
Incorporate physical fitness into the mental performance regimen.
Understand the connection between physical and mental health.
Substance Prevention Education:
Gain knowledge on the dangers of substance abuse.
Learn strategies to avoid peer pressure and make healthy choices.
Group Challenges:
Daily individual competition.
Group projects.
